Performers rehearsing at Thornton Little Theatre

The details that matter

Terms & conditions

Last updated: 16 September 2026

These terms explain how you can use our website and book with Thornton Little Theatre CIC. Read them alongside our ticket policy and the information for your chosen event before paying. You can save or print these pages for your records.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Thornton Little Theatre CIC, a community interest company limited by guarantee, company number 17201452.

Our registered office, theatre and correspondence address is Thornton Little Theatre, Fleetwood Road North, Thornton, United Kingdom, FY5 3SZ.

For booking help, complaints or questions about these terms, email [email protected] or use our contact form. Include your booking reference where you have one, but never send card details or passwords.

2. Choosing an event and making a booking

Check the event, date and time, venue, attendee names, ticket types and any age or access requirements before completing your order. Times are shown in UK local time, including daylight-saving changes. Buying one date in a recurring series does not book the other dates unless you purchase a pass that expressly includes them.

Assigned-seating bookings identify your seats. General-admission tickets do not reserve a particular seat. Selecting a table reserves the seats shown in your order: check their number and ticket types before paying. Contact us before booking if you need help with accessible seating or other arrangements.

A selection, basket entry or temporary reservation is not a confirmed booking. Reservations normally last 15 minutes, with the expiry shown during checkout. Reservations for different shows can expire at different times. Once a hold expires, availability must be checked again.

For an online paid order, your booking is accepted when payment has succeeded and we confirm it. If payment appears to have been taken but you cannot find a confirmed booking, check your account and contact us before trying again. Keep your confirmation as your record of the order.

3. Prices, fees and payments

Prices are in pounds sterling. Checkout shows the ticket price, discounts, applicable booking fees and the total payable before you pay. Any applicable taxes are included in the displayed total. Discounts are available only on their stated terms and during their stated availability period.

Square processes card payments through the secure payment form. You must be authorised to use the payment method. We do not store your full card number or security code. Saving a card does not by itself authorise monthly-pass renewal: renewal requires your separate agreement.

We may change prices for future purchases, without changing the price of a confirmed booking. If an error affects your order, we will contact you to agree a resolution; we will not take an additional payment without your authorisation.

4. Tickets and attendee information

The main booker receives all tickets by email. Tickets can also be downloaded as PDFs or emailed again from the booking account. Where you choose separate attendee delivery, we send that attendee their own ticket using the address you supply.

Provide accurate details and make sure you are entitled to share another attendee’s information. Let them know about our privacy policy. Contact us promptly if your details are wrong or your tickets cannot be retrieved.

Keep ticket QR codes secure and present a readable ticket on your device or as a printed copy. Copies of a ticket do not create additional admissions. Resale, admission, supervision and behaviour requirements are set out in the ticket policy and the event information.

5. Calendar-month passes

A pass covers the named attendee, event series and calendar month shown at checkout. It includes the listed sessions in that month, rather than any four sessions or a rolling four-week period. It does not cover other series or carry unused sessions into another month.

If sessions have already passed when you first buy a pass for a month, the price is reduced in proportion to the remaining sessions, as shown before payment. Choosing not to attend does not create an automatic credit or refund. Your rights where a session is cancelled or not provided are unaffected.

Pass sales depend on capacity across the included sessions. A completed pass booking reserves the attendee’s place at each included session. Future months are not guaranteed until their bookings are confirmed.

6. Optional automatic renewal

Auto-renewal is off by default. You can choose it when purchasing a pass or enable it later in your account. Before agreeing, you are shown the next renewal month and the authorised monthly amount, including fees. By enabling it, you authorise us to charge your chosen saved card through Square for subsequent monthly passes while renewal remains enabled.

Renewals are scheduled from the first day of the next agreed calendar month. Later months use the full monthly price: a reduction for sessions already missed before your first purchase does not repeat. We send renewal information by email. A higher amount than you authorised requires your agreement; renewal pauses if places cannot be reserved or payment cannot be completed.

You can switch renewal off in Monthly passes before the next renewal is processed, with no fee for doing so. This stops future renewals and leaves an already confirmed pass in place. Contact us or use your account to request a refund for an existing pass or payment already processed; switching renewal off does not automatically issue a refund.

7. Event loyalty rewards

Where advertised, a recurring event can offer separate loyalty schemes for single-session tickets and monthly passes. Each scheme shows its required number of stamps and its free, percentage or fixed-amount reward. Stamps belong to your booking account and that particular event series and scheme; they do not transfer between accounts, events or ticket and pass schemes.

A qualifying paid booking earns one stamp when confirmed: once per class date for single-session tickets, or once per calendar month for monthly passes. Booking several attendees does not earn extra stamps. Monthly-pass sessions do not also earn single-session stamps. Existing bookings made before a scheme was enabled do not receive stamps retrospectively.

A reward applies to one ticket or monthly pass in the same scheme. For several single-session tickets, the discount applies to the lowest-priced paid ticket. A monthly reward applies after any first-month reduction. Booking fees may still apply. Rewards cannot be combined with discount codes or manual discounts, have no cash value and do not earn further stamps, including where a reward booking contains other paid tickets.

Available monthly-pass rewards apply automatically to an authorised renewal. This does not change the normal approved price of later renewals. You can otherwise choose to use an available reward at checkout. Reserving it in your basket holds the required stamps until the booking is confirmed, released or expires. Rewards remain subject to ticket availability.

Cancelled qualifying bookings lose their stamps. If a cancellation removes stamps already used for a reward, later stamps first make up the difference. Cancelling a reward booking restores its reserved stamps, subject to any qualifying-booking reversals. A paused scheme retains your progress, but new qualifying reservations and reward use are paused until it resumes.

8. Cancellations, changes and refunds

Tickets for leisure events on a specific date or during a specific period generally do not have the usual 14-day online cooling-off right. This does not remove your rights if the service is not provided as agreed. Any separate statutory rights applying to a renewal arrangement also remain unaffected.

If your plans change, use the cancellation-request option in your account or contact us. Staff review requests under the ticket policy and applicable consumer law. A request does not immediately cancel your booking or issue a refund. We will tell you the outcome.

If an event is cancelled, rescheduled or materially changed, we will explain the available options and any refund you are entitled to. A refund required by law will not depend on accepting a voucher or replacement date. Booking-fee provisions and events beyond our reasonable control do not exclude your statutory refund rights.

We may need to amend seating for operational or accessibility reasons. If a change materially affects your booking, contact us to discuss a suitable resolution. Approved refunds normally go back through the original payment method; bank processing times can vary.

9. Free events and organiser bookings

Events marked as free entry with no ticket booking do not require a ticket purchase through this website. Admission remains subject to the published arrangements, suitability and venue capacity.

Some events link to a separate organiser’s booking website. Those purchases are made with the seller identified there, under its terms, payment arrangements and privacy policy. Contact that seller about tickets or refunds. External bookings are not automatically added to your theatre account.

10. Accounts and website use

Keep account details accurate and your password private. Contact us if you suspect unauthorised use. Bookings for children should be made by a parent, guardian or responsible adult.

Do not misuse the site, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorised access or use automated activity to hold inventory unfairly. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users and the service, without removing your rights relating to a valid booking.

Website content belongs to us or the relevant rights holders. You may browse, book and retain your booking documents for personal use. Other reproduction or commercial use requires permission unless permitted by law.

11. Venue hire

A venue-hire enquiry does not confirm a hire booking. Availability, charges, staffing, equipment and responsibilities must be agreed separately in the hire agreement. Ticket purchases do not reserve the venue for private use.

12. Privacy and cookies

Our privacy policy explains personal information use. Our cookie policy explains booking storage, payment services and optional embedded maps. Agreement to these terms is not consent to marketing or optional cookies.

13. Responsibility and your rights

We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We aim to keep the website accurate and available, but interruptions can occur. Contact us if an interruption affects your booking or payment. Your statutory consumer rights take priority over conflicting wording in these terms or the ticket policy.

14. Complaints and changes to these terms

Contact us so we can investigate a complaint and try to resolve it. This does not prevent you from exercising your legal rights or seeking independent advice.

Updates to these terms apply to future use and purchases. They do not retrospectively remove rights attached to an existing booking. Changes requiring your agreement will be presented before they apply.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers living elsewhere retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in their home courts that apply to them. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue so far as legally possible.
