This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on Thornton Little Theatre CIC’s website. For information about personal data, including your rights and how to contact us, read our privacy policy.
What cookies and browser storage do
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Browser session storage keeps information for a particular tab. Both can help a website remember the information needed to provide a feature you request, such as signing in or moving between booking steps.
We use the account and booking storage described below to provide those features. Optional Google Analytics only loads after you accept analytics cookies. Advertising personalisation is disabled. Optional Google Maps are kept off until you choose to load one.
Storage used by this website
Account sign-in — tlt_session
This first-party cookie contains a random account-session identifier. It keeps you signed in and allows us to check access to your bookings and account. It is sent securely over HTTPS, cannot be read by page scripts, and expires after seven days. Signing out removes it; a session may also be invalidated for security reasons.
Booking drafts — booking-draft:<event ID>
Session storage remembers your ticket quantities, seat choices, attendee names and any separate attendee-email delivery details while you move between booking steps. We restore a draft only if it is less than 30 minutes old. This is a restoration limit, not automatic deletion after 30 minutes: the stored draft remains until it is replaced, the tab session ends or you clear it.
Returning after sign-in — booking-return
Session storage remembers the booking page you asked to return to and when it was saved. It is used for up to 30 minutes and removed after successful sign-in, or when the tab session ends or you clear it.
Session storage normally ends when you close its tab, although browser session-restore features can retain it. Clear site data yourself on a shared device. These browser entries do not confirm a booking or extend a reservation. Basket reservations are held on our server and have their own 15-minute expiry times.
Welcome screen — tlt-welcome-seen
Local storage remembers that this browser has seen our first-visit welcome screen, so it does not appear again on later visits. This stores only a yes/no preference, with no account or tracking identifier, and remains until you clear this website’s browser data. If local storage is unavailable, we skip the welcome screen.
Optional Google Analytics
With your permission, Google Analytics measures page visits, event interest, booking steps, completed purchases (including automatic monthly-pass renewals), refunds and successful enquiries. We send product and transaction information, not attendee names, email addresses, payment-card details or private ticket/reset links. Staff activity is excluded. Google processes technical browser and device information; see Google's privacy policy.
The first-party cookies _ga and _ga_7EK20CQKD7 distinguish browsers and sessions. We configure their lifetime to 180 days, which can be renewed on subsequent visits. Our tlt-analytics-consent-v1 local-storage preference lasts 180 days. When you are signed in, we also save your choice and analytics browser identifier on our server until that choice expires. The secure tlt_analytics_link cookie lets this browser withdraw that account preference even after signing out; it expires with your choice, within 180 days. It cannot be read by page scripts. A temporary tlt-analytics-revoke-pending preference retries withdrawal if your connection fails and is removed once successful.
You can decline without affecting bookings, or change your choice using in the footer. Withdrawing stops future analytics and removes these cookies and analytics entries from this browser. It also stops future server reporting for the linked account once saved successfully; it does not erase data already collected. If you clear this browser’s data first, sign in before withdrawing to update your account preference too.
Square payments
Square supplies the secure payment form when you use our card-payment features. It may use cookies, browser storage and device information to provide payments, authenticate transactions and help prevent fraud. Your full card details are handled by Square, rather than stored by this website.
Square controls its own technology, so the names and lifetimes of its storage may vary with the payment method, browser and service. See Square’s cookie notice for its purposes and controls. That notice covers Square’s wider services; not every technology it describes is used in our checkout.
Optional Google Maps
Our venue map does not connect to Google until you choose “Show venue map”. The notice beside that button explains that loading it shares information with Google and may allow Google cookies. You can read the venue address and use the rest of our website without loading the map.
Once loaded, Google receives information such as your IP address and browser details and may read or set cookies under its own settings and policies. Names and durations depend on your browser, Google account and consent choices. Read how Google uses cookies and Google’s privacy policy.
Choose “Close map” to remove the embedded map from the page. It will not load again there unless you choose to open it. Closing it does not erase cookies already set by Google; manage those through your browser or Google’s controls. A directions link opens Google Maps as a separate website, subject to its own policies.
Your choices
- Leave the map unopened if you do not want embedded Google content to load.
- Sign out to remove your account-session cookie.
- Use your browser’s privacy settings to inspect, block or delete cookies and site data, including third-party cookies.
- Clear session storage as well as cookies if you want to remove booking drafts from a shared device.
Blocking essential account or booking storage can prevent sign-in or stop selections being remembered. Blocking payment-provider technology may prevent a card payment. If this stops you booking, contact the theatre for help.
Accepting the website terms does not consent to optional tracking. If we introduce additional technologies that require consent, we will provide information and obtain that consent before using them.

We will update this page when our use of cookies or similar technologies changes. The date above shows the latest revision. For questions, email [email protected] or write to Thornton Little Theatre CIC, Thornton Little Theatre, Fleetwood Road North, Thornton-Cleveleys, FY5 3SZ.
