Ticket Terms and Conditions
The contract for the purchase of ticket(s) is formed as soon as Thornton Little Theatre CIC has processed your payment and will expire immediately after the performance or event for which the ticket(s) have been purchased.
The purchase of tickets is subject to and governed by these Terms and Conditions. For information regarding the use of personal data, please see Thornton Little Theatre CIC’s Privacy Policy.
Tickets, Refunds and Exchanges
Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.
In the event of cancellation, other than as a result of Force Majeure, a refund of all ticket costs will be made, excluding any booking fees and card transaction fees.
Tickets will be emailed to the email address provided when the booking is made. If a printed ticket is required, this can be collected from the theatre only.
Payments and Booking Fees
All orders are subject to credit or debit card approval and verification of the billing address.
Your credit or debit card will not be charged until the end of the transaction.
The ticket price may include a booking fee and a seat restoration fee. Please check the individual ticket or booking information for further details.
Ticket Resale and Unauthorised Purchases
Tickets sold or transferred for commercial gain by anyone other than Thornton Little Theatre CIC or one of its authorised ticket sellers will become void and the ticket holder may be refused entry.
Thornton Little Theatre CIC will not be held responsible for any tickets purchased through unauthorised methods or sellers.
Performances, Events and Seating
Changes to Performances and Events
Tickets are sold subject to Thornton Little Theatre CIC’s right to make alterations to the cast, advertised arrangements, performance details, discounts or prices where such changes are made necessary by an unavoidable cause.
This includes the right to reschedule performances or events where necessary.
Seating Arrangements
Thornton Little Theatre CIC reserves the right to amend seating arrangements after a booking has been completed.
In exceptional circumstances, Thornton Little Theatre CIC also reserves the right to provide alternative seats to those specified on the ticket.
Concessions, Offers and Discounts
Concession Tickets
Only one concession per person, per transaction is applicable.
Proof of eligibility for a concession may be required. Where requested, appropriate proof must be shown to the Theatre Manager.
Concessions are not available for every performance or event. Please refer to the specific performance details for further information.
Offers and Discounts
Concessions and offers apply only to full-price tickets and are offered at the discretion of the individual performance or event and Thornton Little Theatre CIC management.
Each offer may only be used once per person, per performance, cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or concession and cannot be applied retrospectively.
Thornton Little Theatre CIC reserves the right to introduce, amend or withdraw offers, prices and discounts without notice.
Some offers may only be available through the staffed Box Office and may not be available online.
Attending Thornton Little Theatre
Latecomers
Latecomers will not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance or event in order to minimise disruption to other patrons.
Food and Drink
Hot food, glasses and bottles are not permitted in the auditorium.
Drinks may only be taken into the auditorium in the plastic cups provided.
Only food, drinks and confectionery purchased at Thornton Little Theatre CIC may be consumed within the building.
Photography, Mobile Phones and Recording
The taking of photographs, use of mobile phones or mobile recording devices, and the making of any audio or video recording are strictly prohibited unless otherwise advised at the performance or event.
Photography and Filming of Audiences
By purchasing a ticket and attending a performance or event, you consent to being photographed or filmed as part of a group or audience.
Admission and Audience Behaviour
Thornton Little Theatre CIC reserves the right to refuse admission.
Thornton Little Theatre CIC also reserves the right to request that ticket holders leave the theatre at any point where there are reasonable grounds to do so and may take appropriate action to enforce this right.
Grounds for Refusing Admission or Removal
Thornton Little Theatre CIC may refuse admission or require a ticket holder to leave where that person:
- Has behaved in the theatre in a manner which, in the reasonable opinion of management, has affected or is likely to affect the enjoyment of other visitors.
- Uses threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.
- Provokes, or behaves in a manner which may provoke, a breach of the peace.
- Is, in the reasonable opinion of management, under the influence of drugs or has consumed an excessive amount of alcohol.
- Fails, when required, to produce proof of identity or age.
- Obstructs gangways, access ways, exits, entrances or staircases.
- Congregates in non-authorised areas.
- Is otherwise in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
Theatre Rules and Safety
Ticket holders must comply with all relevant legislation, safety announcements and theatre regulations whilst on the premises.
Special Effects and Production Warnings
Strobe lighting, smoke effects, loud bangs, gunshots, loud sound effects and theatrical smoking effects may sometimes be used at Thornton Little Theatre CIC during its own productions and visiting productions.
If ticket holders have any special requirements or concerns regarding effects that may be featured during a performance or event, they should contact the theatre or provide notice at the time of booking.
Special effects may include, but are not limited to:
- Sound effects
- Audiovisual effects
- Pyrotechnic effects
- Lighting effects
- Strobe lighting
- Smoke or haze effects
- Loud bangs or gunshot effects
Children and Young People
Children’s Tickets
All children aged from 24 months to 15 years inclusive, unless otherwise stated at the time of booking or on the ticket, require their own ticket.
Children’s tickets will be charged at the full ticket price unless a specific children’s price is advertised and stated at the time of booking.
Babes in Arms
Babes in arms under the age of 24 months, unless otherwise stated at the time of booking or on the ticket, may be admitted free of charge to performances or events where they are permitted to attend, such as children’s shows and pantomimes.
Children under the age of 24 months will not be admitted to performances unless the performance is specifically suitable for or aimed at young children, such as a children’s show or pantomime.
Supervision of Children
Children of all ages must be supervised at all times.
Supervision must be provided at a ratio of no fewer than one adult for every ten children.
Thornton Little Theatre CIC reserves the right to ask parents, guardians or supervising adults to remove children if, in the reasonable opinion of management, they are causing a disturbance.
Liability
Thornton Little Theatre CIC will not be held responsible for any loss, injury or damage to any person or property howsoever caused:
- In circumstances where there has been no breach of a legal duty of care owed by Thornton Little Theatre CIC.
- Where such loss or damage was not a reasonably foreseeable result of any such breach, except in relation to death or personal injury resulting from negligence.
- To the extent that any increase in loss or damage results from a breach by the ticket holder of these Terms and Conditions.
Nothing within these Terms and Conditions seeks to exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other type of liability which cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Force Majeure
Thornton Little Theatre CIC will have no liability for damage, loss, cancellation or disruption arising as a result of Force Majeure.
Force Majeure means any event or circumstance beyond the reasonable control of Thornton Little Theatre CIC, including, without limitation:
- Acts of God
- War
- Insurrection
- Riots or civil disturbances
- Acts of terrorism
- Fire
- Explosion
- Flood
- Theft of essential equipment
- Malicious damage
- Strikes or lockouts
- Severe weather
- Third-party injunctions
- National defence requirements
- Acts, regulations or requirements of national or local government
Personal Arrangements
Any personal arrangements made in connection with a performance or event, including travel, accommodation or hospitality, are made entirely at the ticket holder’s own risk.
Thornton Little Theatre CIC will not be responsible for losses relating to such arrangements where a performance or event is cancelled, rescheduled or otherwise changed, except where required by law.
Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with any additional terms and conditions or specifically agreed terms communicated in connection with a booking, constitute the entire agreement between the parties in relation to their subject matter.
They supersede any previous terms and conditions, agreement or arrangement between the parties relating to the same subject matter.
Each party agrees that it has not entered into these Terms and Conditions in reliance on, and shall have no remedy in respect of, any statement, representation, covenant, warranty, undertaking or indemnity, whether negligently or innocently made, by any person other than those expressly communicated by Thornton Little Theatre CIC before completion of the purchase or expressly set out within these Terms and Conditions.
Nothing within this section operates to limit or exclude liability for fraud.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law.
The parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
